The mainstay of hosting platforms has for years been the unix platform, under various versions of the unix family of operating systems. Nexus' Shared Linux hosting platform uses the Debian Linux distribution, as this offshoot of the Linux world has become known for stability and security.

Nexus Internet Services offers 6 different levels of Shared Linux based web hosting. Beginning with our Basic level plan, you are provided with 10MB of disk space, and a 1,000MB bandwidth allowance (suitable for 5,000+ average size page views) per month. On our high end, we offer the Titanium level plan, providing 20GB of disk space, and 50GB (suitable for over a Million average size page views) of bandwidth per month.

With any hosting, whether it be shared hosting, dedicated hosting or virtual hosting, it's important to choose the correct operating system. Nexus Internet Services offers you the option of a Linux Server or a Windows Server with the OS of your choice^*.

At Nexus, we've tried to keep the choices as open as possible, providing you the flexibility you need. All of our Windows and Linux servers are PHP and CGI capable. Our Linux servers add Python, while our Windows servers add ASP and ASP.Net. If you have no preference over a Windows or Linux server, then we recommend basing your decision on what server side coding language you are going to use in with your server.
